2019 Letters About Literature Awards Presentation
The awards ceremony for the 2019 New Jersey winners in the National Letters About Literature program of the Library of Congress was held at the Rutgers University Student Center on College Avenue in New Brunswick, NJ on May 19, 2019. The many talented student writers from across the state were honored. The students included the first and second place winners in each of the three grade level categories as well as those recognized for honorable mention. Nearly 200 parents, teachers, students and friends were in attendance. The program also featured an Authors’ Alley of New Jersey authors and their books focused on youth literature. The second e-book published by the New Jersey Center for the Book was also showcased.

Stevie Sanderson-Bowden, The Pennington School, Pennington, Winning Level 2 (Grades 7-8) Letter to Natalie Babbitt, author of Tuck Everlasting.
Rebecca Kilroy, Ridge High School, Basking Ridge, Winning Level 3 (Grades 9-12) Letter to Brian Selznick, author of The Marvels.
